Round Rock Resident Receives Life in Jail After 9th DWI conviction

Round Rock resident Billy Joe Sullivan had his life sentence upheld by an appeals court last Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 after receiving his ninth DWI conviction after his last offense in July of 2009.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, Sullivan's 2009 offense was upgraded to a first-degree felony after receiving DWI convictions in six other counties, along with several other crimes.

Stovall's latest arrest came after he caused a collision near the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. After police arrived, he refused to blow into a breathalyzer. However, a blood test taken hours later revealed that Sullivan's Blook Alcohol Content was four times over the legal limit.
